Turkey Trot Returns To L.A. For 13th Annual Thanksgiving Day Event – Here’s How To Join
Ready to work up an appetite? The 13th Annual Turkey Trot returns to DTLA this November! The family-friendly holiday tradition invites runners (and walkers) of all ages to kick off their Thanksgiving Day with a sweat and some charitable work. This year, Turkey Trot hopes to raise $100,000 for The Midnight Mission , an organization providing essential services, shelter, and hope to those experiencing homelessness around L.A. “We are grateful to bring Turkey Trot LA back to Downtown Los Angeles for its 13th year, giving Angelenos an opportunity to come together in the spirit of gratitude and community,” said Brennan Lindner, Co-Founder of Generic Events, in a statement. “Thanksgiving is a day to give thanks — not only with our families and friends, but for our entire city. Turkey Trot LA is the perfect way to celebrate Los Angeles, while making a meaningful impact by supporting The Midnight Mission and helping those experiencing homelessness. It’s a joyful, purposeful way to start the holiday.” Over 7,000 people show up a year at the Los Angeles City Hall, with some dressed as turkeys, pilgrims, their favorite Thanksgiving dish, and more zany costumes.
