Two Days in Sharjah, UAE – A Travel Guide
Sharjah feels more down-to-earth and less touristy. In the evening, by the sea, you’ll see mothers in abayas playing with their children, migrant workers chatting on benches, and couples relaxing on the grass — full of local life 🏙️✨. The sound of prayers from the central mosque in the old city can be heard everywhere. Though the old town looks a bit worn, the streets are clean, and small supermarkets are lively — a familiar yet uniquely foreign experience. 🕌 Islamic Civilization Museum Strolled along the seaside promenade, drank colorful summer drinks at a beachside café 🍹, and enjoyed the sea breeze ~ Entrance fee: 10 AED. On the first floor, two exhibition halls display Islamic culture and technology. The second floor has galleries showcasing art, daily objects, and weapons from the Arab world. The museum is well air-conditioned ❄️, with plenty of seats — perfect for a slow visit. The zodiac dome on the third floor has sofas where locals chat and drink tea ☕️. ❤️ Heart of Sharjah Restored historical buildings with several exhibition halls. A combo ticket is available and valid for the next day. 🍴 The Arabian Teahouse Tasty lamb and grilled meat 🍖. Breakfast is only served before noon. 🛏️ The Chedi Al Bait, Sharjah Highly recommended! The room layout and design make you feel like you’re staying in an Arabian mansion 🏯. Great environment, located right in the Heart of Sharjah — within walking distance to attractions and restaurants (and the lobby cat is adorable 🐱). 📍 Attractions included: Bait Al Naboodah (traditional house) Sharjah Heritage Museum (folk culture exhibition) Sharjah Fort Al Hisn (former ruler’s residence, one of the oldest structures) Souk Al Arsah (air-conditioned market selling goods similar to Dubai’s Iranian quarter but with fewer tourists 🛍️) 👍 The best part: all attractions have strong AC, seating, and clean restrooms! 🚻🧊 #JustGo #Sharjah #ArabianVibes #ArabianCulture #IslamicCivilizationMuseum #TheChedi #SharjahHeart #TheHeartOfSharjah
