Two Recent Alhambra Chinese Spots in LA

Dongting Xian — ~$50 per person KP Town — ~$25 per person They’re close to each other, so writing them together. Verdict: both highly recommended 😋 (Prices are my personal per-person estimates.) 📍 Dongting Xian Ordered: Sour string bean with chicken gizzard, Tea oil stir-fried free-range chicken, Pork intestine with stinky tofu Most recommended: Tea oil chicken — chopped small, well-seasoned, hard to pick up with chopsticks but generous portion. Service was great — staff super energetic, big plus in my book ❕ 📍 KP Town Been here twice in a row — feels nostalgic, makes me homesick T T (I’m from Zhongshan, Guangdong ^ ^) This mix of dai pai dong + cha chaan teng vibe really hits the spot. Even if not super hungry, you can just snack — very Cantonese. First visit: Milk tea, iced lemon tea, pork liver congee, hand-shredded chicken, grilled chicken wings Second visit: Milk tea, yellow-haired chicken congee, sizzling chicken clay pot, spare ribs & chicken feet with rice noodles Highly recommend the chicken clay pot — pork liver in congee was tender, hand-shredded chicken well-seasoned ^_^ #LA #ChineseFood #LosAngeles #StudyAbroadUSA #CantoneseFood #HunanFood
