Tybee Island Dolphin Adventure 🐬

Tybee Island Dolphin Adventure 🐬 šŸ›„ļø Captain Derek's Dolphin Adventure During my winter vacation trip, I planned a two-day itinerary in Savannah. Since I intended to watch the New Year’s Eve countdown fireworks by the sea on Tybee Island, I booked a room at Hotel Tybee for that night. After arriving, I found there was a dolphin adventure tour near the hotel, so I immediately bought tickets for the sunset session (the 16:15 slot) that day šŸŒ‡. The ticket price was reasonable. When I arrived at the meeting point, I noticed that most of the participants in this tour were foreigners—we didn’t see any other Chinese people, and there was also little information about it on The entire dolphin-watching trip lasted 1 to 1.5 hours, ending around 17:30. I didn’t feel seasick when the boat set off, but once we reached the dolphin-watching spot, the boat kept rocking with the waves, making it hard to stand steadily 🤪. It’s not recommended for those who get seasickļ½ž Besides, the dolphins didn’t jump very high, so I had to film the whole time and take screenshots whenever possible. It’s not advisable to bring too many photography devices (it’s really hard to capture their full figures). We saw quite a lot of dolphins when we went, and the captain kept pointing out where they were—overall, we had a great time watching them 🄳! Since it was New Year’s Eve, we happened to catch the sunset on the way back. The captain even turned the boat around to let us take 360-degree photos, which made the experience absolutely fantastic ✨! It’s important to note that although the temperature around Savannah is quite comfortable during the day, it gets really windy and cold once the boat sets sail 🄶. It’s recommended to bring a hat and wear warm clothes like a short down jacket—otherwise, you’ll freeze stiff! Also, if you visit Tybee Island without renting a car, it’s really hard to get a taxi in this area: there are almost no Lyfts, and if there are any, they’re super expensive; Uber prices are moderate but there are very few cars available. If you really can’t find a ride, you can contact the hotel front desk—they might be able to help find a local to drive you (the price is also quite reasonable) šŸš—. Overall, this tour was amazing. The New Year’s Eve sunset and seeing wild dolphins for the first time added more meaning to this tripļ½ž #Savannah#Dolphin#Tybeeisland#DolphinWatching#NewYearsEveSunset
