🌟 U.S. Student Winter Road Trip|Little Rock, Arkansas

Finally made it to Little Rock! ✨ (Also called “The Little Rock City” – both names work 😉) Highly recommend staying downtown – we stayed at Hampton Inn & Suites Little Rock-Downtown – super convenient and comfy! 🏨✅ 🍴 Restaurant Recommendations: Dugan’s Pub 🍀 An Irish-themed pub with live music! 🎸 Must-tries: Irish Poutine, Beer Battered Mozzarella Sticks, and Bangers & Mash! The melted cheese stretches perfectly 🧀, the poutine comes with fries + mushrooms + bacon + grilled cheese, and the bangers & mash is savory sausages with creamy mashed potatoes. Absolutely delicious! Copper Grill – recommended by locals! 🥩 Dizzy’s Gypsy Bistro – also locally loved! 🍷 🏛️ Must-Visit Spots: Little Rock Central High School National Historic Site Closed on Sundays. Usually $10 entry 🎟️, but free with an annual National Parks pass. This site honors the bravery of the Little Rock Nine – the nine Black students who broke racial barriers by enrolling in the then-segregated school. Across the street, there’s what looks like an abandoned gas station (or maybe not? 😅). The school is still maintained, and at its heart stands a tiger mascot from the class of ‘62. It’s surreal to think – those students would have graduated around 1970, and here I am, class of 2024… different centuries, same pursuit of education. 🎓📚 Old State House Museum 🏛️ William J. Clinton Presidential Library & Museum 📘 Also took a night walk and saw the creepy door in P6… 🚪😳 Spooky vibes! #ArkansasTravel #LittleRock #RoadTrip #USATravel #WeekendGetaway #Photography #HiddenGems #TravelDiary
