Ultra-Authentic Korean Food North of Salt Lake City|Kogane Kitchen

After skiing at Powder Mountain, we were starving and desperate for food—little did we know we’d stumble upon a gem this good! The owner and chef are from Incheon, Korea and have run this spot for six years. Their English is limited, but who needs words when the food speaks for itself? Having had enough of Americanized Korean restaurants in the US, seeing the Korean sign outside made my partner and me literally say: “It’s in Korean—we’re saved!” 😂 We ordered four dishes, and every single one was amazing: 1️⃣ Yachaejun (Vegetable Pancake) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The seafood pancake is only available on Thursdays, but this veggie version was unexpectedly incredible! Chives and green onions added so much flavor, and the bottom was perfectly crispy. Dipping sauce was light and tangy—highly recommended for pancake & crust lovers! 2️⃣ SunToFu (Seafood Soft Tofu Stew) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Served with a bowl of rice, packed with seafood and tofu. The broth wasn’t too spicy but super rich—a bit salty on its own but perfect with rice. 3️⃣ Dolsoot Beebeembop (Beef Stone Pot Bibimbap) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ So good it made me want to buy a stone pot! Well-marinated beef, fresh veggies, and crispy rice at the bottom. Comes with Korean gochujang to adjust spice. Huge portion—could easily feed two. 4️⃣ Kalbi (Beef Short Ribs) ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Sizzling Korean-style galbi—tender, flavorful, and satisfying. A bit rich if you eat a lot, but way better than any Korean BBQ buffet. Slightly pricey, but worth it for the quality. Overall, highly recommended for authentic Korean flavors! Perfect stop if you’re skiing nearby or exploring the Ogden area. 🏂❄️ #SaltLakeCityEats #RestaurantRecommendation #HiddenGem #KoreanFood #SLCFood
