Utah|Salt Lake City|From Scratch 🍞🔥
🌿 As the name suggests, everything at From Scratch is made from raw ingredients. All their bread is baked fresh daily, and their pasta, smoked meats, and jams are also crafted from scratch. The lunch rush here is intense—solo diners or busy professionals are better off ordering online and taking their meals to go! 🏃♂️💼 WoodFire Bread ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Freshly baked wood-fired sourdough bread. The crust is super crispy (though it can get a bit hard if left out), while the inside remains soft and fragrant. It comes with handmade butter and apple jam. The apple jam is absolutely delicious 😋—if you want to take some home, it’s $10 a jar. Tri-Tip Sandwich ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Add-in: Fried eggs (+$2) Their sourdough sandwiches are truly amazing and packed with generous portions of meat. You can’t go wrong with the Tri-Tip, Brisket, or Chicken. Sides include fries, salad, or a special soup (which sometimes brings a fun surprise!). Perfect for a workday lunch! 👍🏻 🌿 The Tri-Tip has a tangy-sweet flavor, perfectly complemented by their house-pickled relish—it gets more addictive with every bite. 🌿 The Brisket is more classic American-style, served with cheese and lettuce—a savory delight. 🌿 The chicken breast is milder in taste, but it’s worth noting how well it’s roasted—so aromatic and tender. Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A creamy pasta with a light dairy aroma—the noodles are cooked to perfect firmness, making it an excellent dish. However, the chicken on top falls a bit short. While it works well in sandwiches, here its flaws are more noticeable. If the chicken were just a tad more tender, this dish would deserve full marks!
