Vancouver|Waited 45 Minutes for Brunch...
No reservations, only walk-ins. We waited 45 whole minutes until our table was ready—and it was already 2 PM by then. Even during off-peak hours, the wait was this long. You can tell how insanely popular this place is!! 🥹🔥⏳🍽️😩 🍗🧇 Fried Chicken & Waffles Honestly, it was just okay. Nothing particularly special. If you’re craving fried chicken, go to a place that actually specializes in it. The chicken here was super dry—fell apart with every bite 😩—and the waffles were way too sweet. Paired with blueberry maple syrup? My insulin levels went into overdrive 💉🚨🍯😤 🥑🥚 Avocado Benedict AMAZING!!! 🥹💯 Heard it’s their signature dish, and avocado lovers will be ecstatic. Perfect for sour food fans—the tangy sauce balanced the richness perfectly. The sprinkle of chili powder added a spicy kick 🌶️✨, and the avocado was creamy-melty heaven. The English muffin was crispy on the bottom—10/10 satisfaction!! 🤤🔥👌 🥔 Tater Tots Basically fancy fried potato cubes 😆. Soft inside, crispy outside—delicious, but no need to order them separately since sides come with meals. 🍵 Matcha Latte My absolute favorite—never disappoints!! ☕💚 Their coffee is also worth trying because most of the white customers here just order drinks and hang out 😳📢 (no food, lol). We didn’t get to try the beef brisket hash this time, but the online pics looked so tempting 🤤. Next visit, it’s definitely on the list!! After brunch, we strolled around and stumbled upon a chicken gelato shop 🐔❄️. Curiosity got the better of us, so we bought one… [facepalm] Let’s just say it’s literally fried chicken-shaped ice cream with fried chicken flavor… and they gave strawberry sauce?? 🍓🍗❄️ SO WEIRD AND OFF-PUTTING. Avoid at all costs!! ⚠️🚫😭 Overall, the brunch was still worth a try 🥹✨. 📍 Their There 2042 W 4th Ave, Vancouver, BC #brunch #cafe #foodie #vancouverlife #northamericalife #ubc #brunchspot #vancouverfood #canadalife #foodieadventures #ilovefood #mustreturn
