š A Day Trip from Valencia: The "Waterfall" Spot That Missed the Mark Driving 1.5 hours from Valencia, we had high hopes for this natural waterfall spotābased on the photos, at least. Spoiler: Itās⦠underwhelming. Hereās the lowdown, plus tips if you still want to go: š The Reality The āWaterfallā: We either missed the big one (didnāt hike down far enough) or this is itāa tiny cascade. Not exactly Instagram-worthy. The Water: Super icy (refreshing, but brrr) and not very clean, especially in summer. Itās packed with touristsāthink ādumpling soupā levels of crowded. The Upside: Higher up, the water gets cleaner and shallowerābetter for wading if you skip the chaos below. š Essential Tips Shoes: Wear water shoes. Flip-flops = guaranteed sore feet (trust meāmy red, scraped toes are proof). The rocks are slippery and sharp! Parking: Public lots at the bottom are limited (700m walk up). Private lots near the entrance cost extra but save steps. Rules: No outside food (drinks okay). Lockers cost ā¬6 (ā¬3 refund when you return the key)āhandy for valuables. Extras: A photographer snaps your pic at the entrance; prints/keychains cost ā¬5 each. We grabbed a group shot for memories. Bonus for Families: Nearby DinoParkācute for kids if youāre bringing little ones. ā Skip the Extras Restaurants: Overpriced, underwhelming, and packed. We hit two with no seats, then a third with bad service. Eat before/after in Calpe or Altea instead. š© Final Verdict Itās a cool spot to beat the heat, but thatās it. No other activities, just water. Save your time (and gas) for Caple, Altea, or Benidormābetter beaches, better vibes, no tiny waterfall letdown. #ValenciaDayTrip #SummerFails #WaterfallWoes
