Venice | The Squid Ink Pasta Loved by Locals 🦑

A bunch of internet-famous restaurants I’d bookmarked were out of reach due to endless queues. Determined not to leave without trying the black squid ink pasta 🦑, I stumbled upon this little gem on Google Maps: with a whopping 4.7 rating and the pasta listed as a recommendation, I walked in without hesitation—and snagged the last empty table. The best part? Everyone else in the restaurant was a local, and they looked slightly surprised when we walked in. That’s when I knew we’d hit the jackpot! 💰: Less than 32 euros per person—crazy good value. Highlights Squid Ink Pasta and Fried Seafood Platter!!!!!!!!! The quintessential Venetian dishes, I’m obsessed!!!!!!!!!!!! The pasta left my mouth pitch-black haha, but it was steaming hot and insanely delicious! Perfect al dente texture, generous portions of squid 🦑—I could polish off a whole serving and be stuffed. Fried Seafood! How is this so good?! Absolute perfection! Especially the huge fried shrimp 🍤 and those ring-shaped wonders 🐙🦑🦀🦞🦐 (no idea about the species, but they’re heavenly). A must-try in Venice!! Other Dishes Seafood Risotto: The rice is distinctively separate, unlike what I’ve had in China. It’s intensely “seafood-y”—seafood lovers will adore it. Another Seafood Platter in the photo: Also highly recommended!! The shrimp were divine, though the tuna seasoning took some getting used to. Tiramisu: Sweet and chocolatey 🍫, so good! Speaking of which, the waitstaff were adorable haha—fantastic service! When they served the dessert, they asked if we liked it and proudly said, “I made it!” 😄 Getting There The location is super convenient! Close to the train station, right by the riverfront.
