Osteria Pan e Ogio — Restaurant in Venice

This might have been our favourite restaurant during our trip to Venice. The portions were appropriately sized and the dishes were well cooked and tasted very nice.

We had the mixed fried fish and Venetian liver alongside some sparkling white wine. The wine here is particularly fair priced at only 8 euros per half litre or 15 for a whole litre!

The dishes were all very nice, we would have oiked to try the carbonara as well, but honestly did not have the space after the two mains. They also have a bar literally next to the restaurant seats if you want to continue to hang around after the meal (bar and restaurant are part of the sane establishment).

Lastly, the sunset view here is phenomenal, it has the same vibe ad the Rialto bridge but with significantly lower prices and much less crowded as well. If we know about this restaurant earlier, would not have bothered going into the...

I already ate three times in this restaurant, and I'm fully satisfied. The staff is kind, smiley, and careful with the needs of the customers; The place is cosy and welcoming; The food...simply amazing! The quality of the ingredients is high, and the cleanliness of the place, is evident. During the week, you can experience the typical Venice community: All the different social classes eating in the same place - as the historical tradition wants. The experience is guaranteed, and all the people that visited the restaurant with me were extremely happy. Every time I come to Venice, I book a table. We had an amazing time at Osteria Pan e Ogio in Venice! Everything was just perfect. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel so welcome.

The place has a great vibe – cozy and full of charm. The menu was full of delicious Italian dishes, and you could tell they use really fresh ingredients. We started with some fantastic antipasti and vegetable soup.

For the main course, I went for the Tagliatelle con pesto alla genovese, and it was amazing.

The service was outstanding. Everyone was super friendly and made sure we had everything we needed without hovering too much.

Overall, was a highlight of our trip. Great food, great wine, great service – we couldn’t have asked for more. Can’t wait to come back next time...
