Vietnamese food in San Mateo--Gao Viet Kitchen

๐Ÿ”†Restaurant Name: Gao Viet Kitchen The Big Gao Pho ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ $32 This is probably the best pho I've ever had. I've had my fair share of pho, and many times after eating it, I feel overly full. However, this one is not like that at all, and the broth is noticeably homemade, simmered from meat stock. I felt the noodles were a bit less, and I would recommend adding more for first-time visitors. For subsequent visits, just order the regular pho; it's more cost-effective and the taste is not compromised. Pork Rib ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ $27 The grilled pork ribs are so tender that they easily fall off the bone. Marinated in Vietnamese-style sauce and then grilled, they are especially fragrant. On the side is fried glutinous rice, and there are pickled radish shreds in the middle to cut the greasiness. I highly recommend this dish; each rib is flavorful, and alternating between a bite of rib and a bite of rice is truly amazing๐Ÿ‘. Crab Noodle ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ $25 Crab fried noodles, slightly more saucy than traditional fried noodles, with onions and peppers in the mix. The crab meat is generously portioned, and every strand of noodle is infused with the sweet flavor of crab meat. I think I could eat three bowls of this. ๐Ÿ Gao Viet Kitchen ๐Ÿ“313 S San Mateo Dr, San Mateo, CA 94401 #Gao Viet Kitchen#San Mateo#Vietnamese food#food diary
