Virginia | Richmond | The BEST BBQ Ever! 🍖🔥

Foodie’s expert review is here! As a BBQ enthusiast who’s tried nearly every joint in Richmond, I’m finally writing my ultimate review of ZZQ Texas Craft Barbeque — hands down the BEST BBQ in Richmond, VA. No cap! I’ve tried everything on the menu multiple times before saying this! 💯 🔍 Vibe: Authentic Texas-style smokehouse with rustic wooden decor 🪵📸. You can even see their massive smokers inside — super Instagrammable! Be prepared to wait in line on weekends though. It’s popular for a reason! 🥩 Must-Order Meats: · Brisket: The most perfect brisket I’ve ever had! Smoked low and slow for 14-16 hours Texas-style, with a gorgeous smoke ring and crispy bark. Juicy, tender, melts in your mouth — true pitmaster artistry! 🤤 · Beef Rib: Each rib weighs over 1 lb — dark, glossy, and beautifully marbled. One bite and the rich smoky flavor takes you right to Lockhart, TX! 🥩💥 · Pork Rib: Passes the "bite test" perfectly! Not too fall-off-the-bone, not too tough — just meaty, flavorful, and satisfying. 🐖👌 💡 Insider Knowledge: ZZQ uses cherry wood for smoking 🍒🪵 — which gives a milder, slightly sweet smoke that enhances without overpowering the meat. They stick to traditional methods: no digital thermometers, just experience and instinct. That’s why their BBQ stands out! 🍴 Skip These: · Chicken: Nothing special 🚫🐔 · Cornbread: A bit dry, not my fave 🚫🌽 · Sides: Nothing memorable — save room for more meat! 💰 Price & Experience: We easily spend $200+ per visit — and it’s worth every penny! Even better? Leftover brisket makes incredible beef noodles the next day 🍜😍 — still tender and juicy after reheating! 💡 Fun Fact: ZZQ was founded by self-taught pitmaster Chris Fultz (a former architect!) and his partner Alex Graf. Chris brought authentic Central Texas BBQ techniques to Virginia — and made it even better? 🙌 ✨ Final Verdict: Worth traveling to Richmond just for this! MUST order the brisket, beef rib, and pork ribs. People drive from DC regularly — and I personally come at least twice a month! 🚗💨 #ChineseInAmerica #VirginiaEats #RVAFood #TexasBBQ #BBQKing #StudyAbroadLife
