Visiting a Korean Noodle Shop in San Diego: Paik's Noodle 😊

Today, I went with a friend to "Paik's Noodle," a Korean noodle shop on Convoy Street in San Diego! The shop is tucked away in a Korean plaza, with a pretty noticeable white sign. Walking in, I was surprised that the environment was better than expected – spacious seating without being crowded, and the warm yellow lighting was very relaxing ✨ We ordered the signature Jajangmyeon🍜 and seafood stir-fried noodles🦑. The Jajangmyeon looked super appetizing with its dark black sauce! Mixing it up, every strand of noodle was coated in the sauce. The first bite was that classic sweet Korean flavor, though it got a bit heavy after a while. Luckily, the yellow pickled radish served on the side helped cut through the richness~ The seafood noodles were packed with ingredients like shrimp and squid, full of "wok hei" (that great stir-fried aroma), but they also leaned a bit sweet. As someone who prefers savory flavors, I found it okay but not amazing 😉 The prices are genuinely budget-friendly these days! Jajangmyeon for $12 and seafood noodles for $15 feel like a steal with today's rising prices 💯 I heard they have weekday lunch specials too, so I'm planning to try the spicy seafood noodle soup next time 🌶️ Overall: ✅ Great value ✅ Comfortable environment ✅ Good for a simple meal ⭕ Sweet-leaning flavor profile might appeal more to some #SanDiegoEats #Jajangmyeon #AffordableEats #FoodDiary #KoreanFood #LunchRecommendation #CarbJoy
