Visiting the National Museum of Nuclear Science

I’ve seen so many military-related attractions in the U.S.—aircraft carriers, aviation museums, nuclear submarines—you name it. So honestly, I wasn’t that excited about the National Museum of Nuclear Science & History. But hey, it’s a "National" museum in Albuquerque, which makes it a must-visit spot! 🏛️ It’s pretty far out, and the ticket cost $22—but of course, I had to go. 📸 Gotta take the obligatory photos—I’ll just share a few with real historical significance. They have models of "Little Boy" and "Fat Man"—the atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. I’ve seen similar exhibits in Hiroshima, Nagasaki, and the National WWII Museum, but here, they also display the planes that carried and dropped them. 💭 Thank you, America, for helping us win the war against Japan. 💭 And thank you to the Jewish and other European scientists who fled from Germany, Switzerland, Poland, Hungary… and contributed to the U.S. effort. 🙏 There’s also a piece of the Berlin Wall on display—a relic from its fall. 🧱✌️ Other nuclear-related sites featured in photos: Trinity Site (New Mexico, where the first nuke was tested) 💥 Hiroshima ☠️ Chernobyl ☢️ And, interestingly, there are photos of American protesters demonstrating against nuclear bombs and testing. Yeah… people have always been against war. ✌️🕊️ #Albuquerque #NuclearHistory #TravelUSA
