Want Some Korean Bibimbap? The Kind You Mix Yourself! 🥄✨

This bibimbap is all about the ceremony—total K-drama vibes! 🎭 Located in a mini plaza in LA’s Koreatown. Heads up: parking is cash only 💵, and if you pay with Venmo, they charge extra. Anyway—we went for Saturday dinner and waited about 30 minutes. Service was super quick, and the menu is simple and straightforward. The bibimbap set starts at $29.99 per person (min. 2 people). That includes everything you see in the second photo! 📸 Instead of regular tea, they serve pumpkin porridge and roasted rice tea. They also give you complimentary doenjang jjigae and a rich chicken soup. The banchan includes blood clams and whelk meat (pretty rare elsewhere!) Plus, they serve kimchi pancake (not oily!) and water kimchi. Dessert is persimmon slices and plum juice. 🍅🍹 Overall, super satisfying because everything was seriously tasty! It’s a pretty veggie-forward set, but you can always order extra meat on the side. I’m not a big meat person, so it was perfect for me. 🌱 The restaurant is called Borit Gogae. If you’re in the area, it’s worth a visit—but maybe not worth a super long drive just for this. Have you tried DIY bibimbap before? What’s your must-add ingredient?
