Washington Italian Cuisine Recommendation: Fiola👌

This charming Italian restaurant is a must-visit! The starters are exquisite and rich, setting the bar high for the entire meal. Unfortunately, I didn't take any photos—I feel awkward and unflattering when I take pictures of my food, and I didn't want to risk tarnishing the restaurant's reputation. 📸 The tasting menu comes in three versions. The first one is the most comprehensive and expensive, with portions so large that even a guy might find it a bit overwhelming. If you really want to dive deep into what this place has to offer, go for it. For a couple, ordering the seafood and meat tasting menus separately works well, as long as the menus match at the same table. 🍽️ Overall, the starters were amazing, especially the sourdough bread—I loved it! The truffle pasta was incredibly aromatic, and the little desserts were a delightful touch that kept everyone happy until the end. The other dishes were pretty standard, but the cocktails and wine were quite smooth and enjoyable. 🥂 During this trip, I visited both Nakazawa and Fiola. Although I generally prefer Asian cuisine, Fiola won my heart. I wasn't a fan of Nakazawa's approach of sticking a candle in a melon for a birthday celebration, and finding connective tissues in the beef and fish was a bit disappointing. 🫣 #Washington #Restaurant #Michelin #ItalianCuisine #Fiola #Nakazawa
