Just a 2-hour drive from the Bay Area, it’s perfect for a day trip or a relaxing weekend getaway. I recommend starting in Monterey and biking or driving along the coast to Carmel. We parked at 442 Adams St. and began our bike ride from there—the views were incredible! Here are the must-see spots along the way: 🌟 Old Fisherman's Wharf A lively pier filled with cute shops, street performers, and a charming fisherman’s market. 🦭 Seals & Sea Lions You can spot these adorable sunbathing creatures along the coast—so heartwarming! 🐠 Monterey Bay Aquarium If you have time, this world-class aquarium is absolutely worth a visit. Get up close with amazing marine life! Then, cruise into the breathtaking 17-Mile Drive—a scenic route that leads straight to Carmel! 💡 Tip: Biking through 17-Mile Drive is FREE (only cars require an entrance fee). Along the way, you’ll pass stunning beaches, lush golf courses, and countless photo opportunities—every turn is Instagram-worthy! 📸 🌸 A Fairytale Town Full of Plants, Art & Charm Carmel feels like stepping into a storybook 🏡—quaint cottages, artistic architecture, and an overall magical vibe. The town is bursting with creativity: galleries, sculptures, and hidden artistic surprises around every corner. Many artists actually live and work here, so if you love art, you’ll be in heaven!
