Stepping into this historic pub felt like traveling back in time—and we had an absolute blast exploring it! We were kindly allowed to go upstairs and see the spaces where, centuries ago, everything from secret meetings to wild gatherings took place. The Pelican Stairs right next to the pub added to the atmosphere—it’s said that at high tide, people used to swim right up! 🌊😮 This place has hosted plenty of famous faces over the years, but its real stories lie in its gritty past. Upstairs, the rooms once echoed with the sounds of boxing matches, cockfighting, smuggling deals, and all sorts of shady activities.
