West LA Finally Has Yakitori! Gokigen Tori 🍢✨
📍 Restaurant Review|Gokigen Tori Yakitori A yakitori spot super close to home — and the flavors are seriously on point! Almost everything we tried was a hit. You can order freely from the menu, but here are my top picks: • Chicken Hearts & Chicken Skin: Had multiple skewers — they just get tastier with each bite! • Pudding 🍮: Must-order! Absolutely delicious and creamy. • Chawanmushi (Steamed Egg): The portion was tiny — like the “one-bite” cake from the rich mouse’s house in Zootopia 😂 — but the flavor was great. Not recommended: • Yaki Onigiri (Grilled Rice Ball): Just plain rice, no plum/filling. One is enough to share between two people — too filling to finish alone. However, there was a small hiccup: We ordered meatball skewers that never arrived, but they were still on the bill. I had to check the menu myself and ask the server, who casually said, “Sorry, we’re out,” without any prior notice. Almost overpaid… Service felt a bit冷淡. Overall, the food is excellent — just be patient, as the dishes come out a bit slow. ✨ Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Flavor: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Price: 👥 Perfect for: • Casual hangouts with drinks and skewers 🍶 • Relaxed, slow-paced chats (don’t come if you’re in a rush!) • Dessert lovers who enjoy Japanese sweets (that pudding though! 😍) Have you been to Gokigen Tori?
