Western Cuisine | 39-Year-Old Gem 🌹 Renaissance & Pink Secret

Pink Door Opened in 1981, this Italian restaurant was once a violin workshop. Behind its iconic pink door lies a Renaissance-inspired aesthetic: Florentine pink walls, antique chandeliers, and hand-painted murals. At night, it transforms into a magical experience with aerial performances, tarot readings, and live jazz—a mysteriously elegant vibe that feels uniquely out of place in Seattle. ✨ 🍽️ Food: CROSTINI TOSCANI $19 Chicken liver pâté + anchovies + pickles = a bold, wine-infused appetizer. A bit salty with bread, but still a flavor bomb. 🍷💣 SQUID INK TONNARELLI $29 Squid ink pasta coated in breadcrumbs + plump, bouncy shrimp. Garlicky but the seafood flavor was a bit muted. 🦑🍝 LINGUINE ALLE VONGOLE $29 Clams + Parmesan ham + white wine. Fresh clams in generous portions, but the flavors didn’t meld well with the pasta. Leftovers tasted better cold. 🍷🐚 The restaurant’s farm-to-table ethos is commendable—90% of their veggies come from Bainbridge Island. Long before “local ingredients” became a buzzword, the owner was sourcing the freshest fennel from Pike Place Market. While it became a spot in 2023 (making reservations tough), the food didn’t quite live up to the ambiance. The window seats overlooking Pike Place Market offer a front-row view of tourists and drunkards—like a VIP seat for people-watching. 🍷👀 Follow me for more Seattle food and fun! 🙋 #Seattle #SeattleEats #SeattleFoodScene #PikePlaceMarket #ItalianCuisine #SeattleLife #FoodieAdventures #SeattleRestaurants
