🐋 Whale Watching Tour in Long Beach, Los Angeles 🚢
My friend booked tickets in advance online – much cheaper than buying on-site! 🎟️ Website: 2seewhales.com 📍 Departure: Long Beach 💰 Online Price: Adults: $35 Under 12 & Over 60: $30 📧 After booking, you’ll receive a PDF with a QR code via email. Exchange it for a physical ticket at the dock. 💵 On-site ticket: $55 (weekend price) ⏰ Departure times: 9 AM / 12 PM / 3 PM ⏳ Duration: ~2.5 hours 🐾 There’s also a seal watching tour: 45 minutes per trip, $20 🅿️ Parking: There’s a large parking lot nearby – we arrived early for the 9 AM tour and found plenty of spots. Later it was full! 💰 $8/hour (pretty reasonable) 🧥 What to wear: Even on a 25°C day, it gets VERY windy and cold on the water. Dress warmly – I’d recommend a thick jacket! The boat is big and clean, with indoor and outdoor seating. Most foreigners sat outside (they’re tough! 😂), but the bow is the best viewing spot. 🐬 What we saw: Dolphins!! Lots of them – swimming and jumping around the boat. It was magical to see them in real life 🥹 We also spotted a shark fin in the distance (probably a small shark). Unfortunately, no whales this time 🐋 – it really depends on luck. 🗣️ The captain gave commentary in English (hard to follow if you’re not fluent). 🦦 After the tour: We planned to visit the aquarium next door. 🎟️ Ticket prices: Ctrip: ¥280 Fliggy: ¥99 Official: ¥326 We chose Fliggy (good reviews), but since it was Saturday, our tickets weren’t issued in time. No big regret though – the aquarium is said to be small but nice. Aquariums in China are fantastic anyway! 🍤 Lunch at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. right by the parking lot: Strongly recommend the beer-marinated shrimp with lemon 🍋✨ There was also a Mexican ice cream truck – servings were huge and delicious (but very sweet!). #WhaleWatching #LongBeach #LosAngeles #TravelUSA #Dolphins #SeaAdventure
