What I Ate in 7 Days of Skiing ππ΄ An Incomplete Salt Lake City Food
First time in Salt Lake City β all restaurants were friend-recommended or from online guides. Surprisingly, the food was way better than expected! Most spots follow a simple, cozy, and affordable style β perfect for warming up after a cold day on the slopes. π OMBU Hot Pot Probably the most recommended spot online! The biggest variety of AYCE ingredients Iβve seen β fresh and flavorful broth. Special shoutout to their fried chicken wings β tasted just like KFCβs spicy wings back home! A true find in North America. π UMI Japanese Shabu Shabu Japanese-style hot pot β meat was fresh, but fewer options overall. Light and clean flavors. π New Golden Dragon Loved their century egg and pork congee β super thick and comforting.π Every dim sum item was tasty, and the aunty servers were really sweet. π Ten Seconds Yunnan Rice Noodles Rich broth with generous portions of meat β definitely filling.β€οΈπ Their Taiwanese sausage was a standout β juicy and just like street food back home! π Matchstick Bar and Grill Solid skewers β chicken gizzards were great, others were okay. The catβs paw brown sugar mochi was soft, sweet, and delicious β every table ordered it! π One More Noodle House My friends and I agreed β not great. Soup was too oily, noodles were mushy. The roujiamo (looked like Xinjiang flatbread) was the best of what we ordered. π Sasa Kitchen Sour spicy noodles β big portion and super tasty! π Itto Sushi $70 per person for all-you-can-eat sashimi β such high value!ππ Nothing super fancy, but everything was fresh. Highly recommend the sweet shrimp and eel nigiri. P.S. They have an $80 omakase β need to book ahead. π Jang Soo Jang | Korean Restaurant Ordered the beef intestine hot pot β delicious but light on meat. Added extra beef to make it enough for two.π π Dolcetti Gelato An Italian gelato shop β they had coconut sticky rice flavor!ππ Each bite had little bits of icy sticky rice β amazing! The interior is also super photogenic. #SaltLakeCityFood #SLCChineseFood #SLCJapaneseFood #SaltLakeCity #SkiSLC #BayAreaTravel
