What I Ate in Boston 🇺🇸

Why is it so cold in Boston but still no snow? 🥶😭 RUKA Downtown A Japanese fusion restaurant. The first photo is of ribs that tasted just like sweet and sour pork ribs! Super yummy 😋. The other dishes were pretty average though, and there weren’t many vegetable options. Hanmaru Allston An authentic Korean restaurant—almost everyone inside was Korean when we walked in! The potato and pork spine soup was less spicy and layered in flavor compared to the ones in Seoul, but it was still pretty good 😌. The extra rice cake slices we added were especially soft and chewy—loved them! SAXBYS BU East Really great matcha here—it totally reignited my matcha addiction... After drinking it, I went straight to Whole Foods and bought a bag of Aiyi matcha powder. Tastes almost the same! 🤫 Chinatown The sour fish dish was okay, but it had a slight fishy taste. Maybe I’m just extra sensitive to that. The dry pot we randomly ordered next to it was super fragrant and delicious! Not too spicy, and it tasted just like the authentic dry pot from back home. Felt like I was transported to China 🥹—highly recommend! 👍 Happy Lamb Chinatown Not really recommended. The soup base tasted like it was made from powder, and the quality and freshness of the ingredients weren’t great. Felt like the least "hot pot-ish" hot pot place in Boston 🫢. #StudyAbroad #USA #Food #Boston #FoodHacks #BostonEats #WhatToEatToday #Food #EatAndDrinkDiaries #JustEatingRandomly
