What I Ate in Charlotte for the Past Two Days
Community Matters Cafe It’s in Uptown but a bit of a walk from the bustling area. I found this place on Google Maps and it had pretty high ratings. I ordered the Americano and the classic cafe breakfast, which were pretty good by American standards. ☕️ The Americano wasn’t too strong (too acidic/bitter), quite easy to drink. 🥣 The breakfast was tasty at first bite. The home-made potato 🥔 had a clean taste with not too many seasonings. It got a bit boring towards the end; sprinkling some black pepper would make it even better. 🍞 The whole wheat bread is best eaten hot with blueberry jam, and it has a nice buttery aroma. I love their yogurt! It’s not too sweet or sour, and the texture is quite smooth. The grains on top are slightly sweet. It’s delicious eaten as is or mixed up! Breakfast is served all day, and it’s pretty average if you’re being strict. While waiting for my meal, I noticed that the lunches of the people next to me smelled amazing… It’s a great place for a couple to come, as it’s perfect for chatting 💬, and most of the other diners seemed to be in pairs. The cafe has a bit of a charitable mission, aimed at helping some “addicts” see their future possibilities through serving customers, or something along those lines. There’s an explanation on a card on the table. When paying, you can donate in addition to leaving a tip. The prices are quite reasonable; the meal came to about 17 🗡️ before tax. #Charlotte #AmericanTravel
