What to Eat Abroad: Treasure Gourmet Recharged Me
After a long, tiring day, dealing with that time of the month and wearing the wrong shoes, I was completely drained. After work, my friend and I wandered around the city until I was nearly running on empty—then we finally stepped into: 🏡 Treasure Gourmet 5 Hudson St, Boston, MA 02111 We ordered three dishes: 1️⃣ Lobster Glutinous Rice (single portion, $48 — I remember because it was pricey) It looked delicious and was genuinely made with a whole lobster. The starch-coated shell was flavorful, but all the sticky rice clung to it, so eating got a little messy—I ended up nibbling the rice off the shell like licking an ice cream cone, then digging out the meat with my hands. But hey, I bet everyone ends up eating it like this 😛. Honestly, it wasn’t mind-blowing—just decent. The lobster vein wasn’t removed, which might bother those sensitive to fishy tastes. It didn’t bother me much, but you could definitely notice it. Quietly: for $48, they really should clean it properly 🙏. 2️⃣ Braised Beef Brisket with Radish No words needed—this made my heart race 💗. A safe and satisfying choice, rich and perfect with rice! My meat-loving friend and I took one bite, looked at each other, and exclaimed: “Bro, this is too good 😭.” Served piping hot in a clay pot, the broth still bubbling, the beef melt-in-your-mouth tender, the radish soft and fragrant. With a spoonful of rice—pure heaven! 3️⃣ Pea Shoots in Superior Broth (no egg added — they charge an extra $3 for egg) I usually love this dish (my favorite in Boston is the one from Mong Kok). The portion here was okay, but the flavor was just average—not that addictive “can’t-stop-eating-it” quality. Not bad, but nothing memorable either. Summary 🌟: The order felt a little fancy today, but since I was about to pass out 😵, the meal still made me pretty happy 😊. Honest take: slightly overpriced 😭, but you can control the budget if you stick to more affordable dishes. #BostonEats #BostonFoodExploration #WhatToEatForDinner
