Where Are All the Matcha Lovers in LA? 🥹

I saw that @KOKONUT Coconut Jelly, Rooted Fare, and Sua collaborated on a special drink: the Black Sesame Matcha Coconut Jelly Latte! 🍵🖤🥥 I made a special trip today to try it out! ✨ It was my first time at Sua. The shop is quite spacious, and the girl taking orders was super friendly—way better than the place across the street, Clark Street! 🙌 My friend and I each got one: mine with less sugar and pistachio milk, hers with less sugar and oat milk. I personally preferred the pistachio milk version! It wasn't too sweet, perfect for the Asian palate. 👍 🍵 The matcha was hand-whisked, but I did get some clumps in my drink. 🖤 I've bought Rooted Fare's black sesame paste before—it's great for black sesame lattes, very fragrant, and it paired nicely with the matcha too! 🥥 However, the coconut jelly was hard to suck up through the shop's very thin straws. So each sip wasn't a blend of all three flavors; I could barely taste the coconut jelly. Maybe using a wider boba straw would be better! Or just putting black sesame-flavored coconut jelly directly in the drink would help everything blend better texture-wise. Since both the coconut jelly and the black sesame paste are sweet, if you're not a big fan of sweetness, I'd recommend trying it with no extra sugar! The shop also had a little activity booth for AAPI Month, asking people to share Asian cultural traditions they think are overrated or deserve more recognition. I thought that was really meaningful! I was in a hurry and didn't write one, though 😆. The most random thing was... I saw a radish growing in a pot inside the cafe 😆😆😆. If it weren't for trying this specific drink, I probably wouldn't have visited, lol. I've passed by many times but never went in, though I was always curious. Finally checked it off the list today! ✅ What's the most unique matcha drink you've tried in LA? Have you been to Sua?
