Where Locals Go for Fun | A Stroll by the Mississippi River (2)🌟

It's really a pity that the flour mills around St. Anthony Falls suffered serious dust explosions in 1878 and fires in 1928, causing heavy losses. πŸƒπŸŒΈ In the 1960s, due to changes in freight, tariffs, and the development of energy technology, the flour milling industry moved out of this area around St. Anthony Falls. πŸƒπŸŒΈNow, this area has become a historical site. The "golden signs" of the various flour mills still stand by the river, with people coming and going. Everything seems to have passed, but people will never forget. There are bike lanes and walking paths in the park, with many people running, walking dogs, cycling, and strolling. The overall atmosphere is great, and everyone is very friendly. πŸƒπŸŒΈ On the west side of the Mississippi River (the side of the park), there is a "Uncle's" place. After visiting the park, you can conveniently pick up some items from Uncle's place. Crossing the river to the east side, you'll find the main campus of the University of Minnesota, surrounded by a series of Chinese restaurants and hot pot shops, where you can enjoy some hometown flavors. πŸƒπŸŒΈ This history is very interesting, but the nearby Mill City Museum is temporarily closed. So, if you travel here specifically from a long distance, it might not be cost-effective. However, it's perfect for local folks to come for a breeze, a walk, or a bike ride. #USA 🌟
