🌈This riverside park, winding along the Alabama River, perfectly blends the leisurely charm of a Southern city with profound historical significance. 🌈As one of Montgomery's most popular public spaces, it maintains astonishing cleanliness—its lawns are as well-kept as golf courses, and the riverside pathways are free of litter. 🌼Tucked away in a secluded part of the park is the seasonal waterfront restaurant "Dock Kitchen," with its terrace extending directly over the water. 🌼We tried the local specialty, fried catfish sandwiches, accompanied by live banjo performances of Sweet Home Alabama. 💐The most magical time is at sunset—when the glow of the evening sun gilds the masts of replica paddlewheel boats, historical reenactors perform 19th-century sailor shanties on the docks, 🐋and young people glide past painted embankments on shared scooters.
