White Horse – The Perfect Dining Spot for a Christmas Trip 🎄🍽️
White Horse is a stylish bar located downtown. They check ID at the door—only 21+ are allowed. After seeing rave reviews about their food online, I decided to try their lunch, and it was absolutely impressive! The small plate Confit Duck Wings and the main course Duck Breast were both incredible—so flavorful and expertly prepared with rich, layered French techniques. The duck wings were innovatively paired with pickles, making them a perfect match with drinks. 🦆🍷 We also ordered the Wagyu Steak—only $34, which felt like a great deal, especially coming from the Bay Area where everything seems more expensive! Of course, we had to try the drinks at a bar! 🍻 Based on the decor, they prominently feature cider, so we ordered a cider flight—allowing us to sample four 2.5oz flavors for just $8. The Hive Raspberry was sweet and light, while Hive Huckleberry added a nice alcoholic kick to the sweetness. Mountain White Peach tasted more like pure beer than fruit, and Hive Autumn was just average. It was my first time seeing the concept of “Liquid Dessert,” so we tried the Bourbon Truffle—a bourbon mixed with Godiva chocolate sauce. The strong liquor blended with sweetness made me feel a bit dizzy halfway through! They also offer many non-alcoholic mocktails that are both beautiful and delicious. 🍹✨ I read that the name “White Horse” has some religious connotations, and the interior decor reflects a subtle religious theme. Even the bill came tucked inside a red hardcover book that looked like a Bible. 📖❤️ #SaltLakeCity #Utah #UtahEats #SLCFood #SkiSLC #VisitSaltLake #MidwestUSA #RockyMountains #HiddenRestaurant #FoodieLife #DrinkDiscoveries #BarHopping #USALifestyle
