Why Isn't Anyone Going? Kyoto's 30-yen Monkey Park! π
π Just a 15-minute walk from the Arashiyama Togetsukyo Bridge in Kyoto It's easy to find, but you'll need to climb a mountain for about 20 minutes. ππ’ The slope is pretty steep, around 30Β°-40Β°. I don't recommend it for those who aren't used to physical activity. πΈπ After climbing up and down, you might feel like calling it a day, especially since the shops here close quite early! You might need to choose between shopping and visiting the monkey park, but I really recommend the monkey park. ππ’ It's only 30 RMB per person! Super cheap, and you can get up close to the monkeys (though not that close). The monkeys are gentle and won't rob you or hit you like some other monkeys (I won't name names). πΈπ The climb is a bit steep, around 30Β°-40Β° (I'm not very active, so I found it a bit tiring). High heels or strollers are not recommended. From the top, you can see the full view of Arashiyama and the Kyoto Tower (which looks quite small). πΈπ There are lots of monkeys at the top, and they're not afraid of people. You can observe their fluffy fur up close. It feels like touching a big dog, but you can't touch or feed them. ππ’ To feed the monkeys, you need to go to a small house and do it through iron bars. There are many big monkeys holding little ones. #KyotoTravel πΏ #JapanTravel πΏ #Arashiyama πΏππ
