Why Isn't This Spanish Gem in London More Popular? 🔥

A friend took me to this Spanish tavern that has been around for over 30 years. They have their own little supermarket and restaurants, and their Spanish sausage rolls at Borough Market have made it into London's Top 10 affordable snacks. Almost every branch has thousands of Google reviews—how come no one's raving about it on social media? 🍳 Huevos rotos 10 They actually serve broken eggs! Ever since I had them in Spain, I've been craving them. The ingredients are simple: fried potato chips with runny fried eggs, but it's so satisfying. You can choose between vegetarian or spicy pork sausage. 🍅 Pan con tomate 6.5 Every time I go to a tapas place, I have to order tomato bread. Theirs is on the wetter side, with olive oil and tomato juice completely soaked into the bread, and a subtle hint of garlic. The bread is crispy, making it the perfect appetizer. 🐷 Panceta de cerdo ibérico 23 I always thought that Chinese cuisine's pork belly was the pinnacle, but Spanish cuisine does an excellent job with it too. The bacon is made from Iberian black pork belly, and when grilled, it's fatty but not greasy, with the fat melting in your mouth and the lean parts being tender and stringy. Pork belly lovers must try this! 🍲 Carrilleras ibéricas 27 How can you visit a Spanish restaurant and not have pork cheek! Theirs is tender, braised in Rioja wine, served with a puree of parsley root (that vegetable that looks like a white radish), and topped with crispy parsnip chips. The meat is tender and flavorful—so delicious! 🍹 Cava Sangria 7.5 Everyone around me knows how much I love Sangria, and they serve Cava Sangria! Instead of wine-soaked fruits, it's made with cava sparkling wine, making it more refreshing with tiny bubbles. A glass is 7.5, and a pitcher is 27. I visited the SOHO branch, and they have many other branches. The atmosphere in the restaurant is great; since we sat at the bar, they came over to chat whenever they were free. They even gifted us a Spanish after-dinner drink, which seemed like Madeira, sweet and a bit strong. Next time, I want to try their chorizo roll at Borough Market 😋 #LondonEats #LondonExplore #LondonRestaurants #LondonFoodRecommendations #SpanishFoodInLondon #LondonTapas #GlobalFoodTroops
