Winter Escape from NYC Plan 💨😎 4 Days, 3 Nights in New Orleans

It was starting to rain in New York when we took off, but New Orleans greeted us with clear, sunny days. Walking along the river at sunset felt classic yet magical — and of course, I couldn’t resist stopping at Cafe Du Monde for beignets. That’s when it really hit me: I’m in New Orleans. 🏨 The Barnett Hotel gets my strong recommendation! It used to be an ACE Hotel, and I always lean toward ACE when I see one in a city — the ones in Kyoto and NYC are so stylish and vibrant. This one kept the original design and feels like a well-curated vintage shop. It also has its own restaurant, Seaworthy 🐟 (great seafood!), a bar, and a coffee shop. On weekend nights, there’s live music in the lobby — check the schedule if you’re around! Next door, there’s a unisex boutique called Friend — their selection is chic, comfortable, and subtly designed. My friend and I both found some gems there! 🛍️ 🍽️ The hotel’s location is fantastic. Within a 10-minute walk, you’ll find delicious spots like Peche, Cochon, the cool bar Bar Métier, the popular brunch spot Bearcat, and my favorite coffee shop from this trip: Fourth Wall. The French Quarter is just 15–20 minutes away on foot. 🎷 Jazz is woven into the soul of this city. Even if you don’t seek out a formal show, you’ll hear it drifting from streets and restaurants, adding to that laid-back NOLA vibe. If you want the full experience, book tickets in advance for a performance at Preservation Hall. 🐊 New Orleans is perfect for city walks, eating, and drinking. Three days feels just right — any longer and you might want to plan more activities. I highly recommend the Swamp Tour — a 40-minute drive to the wetlands to spot alligators, plus raccoons, wild boars, birds, and beautiful scenery 🐊🌿. Many tours offer hotel pickup, which makes it super convenient. If you’re curious about oak plantations, you can book a combo tour. This was my second time in New Orleans, and once again, I spent my days indulging in great food and drinks 🍤🍹. It’s the perfect short getaway from busy city life. This trip’s eats were especially memorable — maybe I’ll write a full New Orleans food guide soon! #DailyLife #Travel #NewOrleans #Food #Thanksgiving 🦃✨
