WKND in Dallas: Falling in Love with Dallas in Just One Weekend 🤠
Texans really know how to keep a secret—I had no idea Dallas was this much fun! In my book, it’s already surpassed Austin, Houston, and San Antonio. 🌆 Fort Worth — Just a 30-minute drive from downtown Dallas, Fort Worth feels worlds apart from the financial vibe of Dallas. It’s preserved the original, traditional cowboy culture of Texas. 📍 Stockyards District This area is filled with shops related to cowboy culture. You can even get a custom-made cowboy hat tailored to the shape of your head, all within just two hours. There are also cowboy boots, leather jackets, and more. 📍 Championship Rodeo Held every Friday and Saturday night at 7:30 PM, this rodeo is a must-see when in Dallas! The two-hour event features bull riding, tie-down roping, bareback riding, and more. One 11-year-old cowgirl was incredibly impressive, racing through the barrels like lightning ⚡️. 📍 Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth 📍 Kimbell Art Museum 📍 Amon Carter Museum of American Art These three museums are all located in the cultural district, just a few streets apart. The Modern Art Museum mostly features modern and contemporary art (including paintings and installations). The Kimbell has a wide-ranging collection, leaning towards fine arts. The Amon Carter Museum is particularly strong in Southern American art, with many pieces themed around cowboys and Native Americans. #TexasExplore #Dallas #DallasEats #DallasFun #TexasFood
