🔥 Wm. Mulherin’s Sons | The One True God of Fishtown 🏆

The only real restaurant worth eating at in Fishtown. I’ve added this spot to my personal Philly restaurant Bible. Besides McDonald’s, it’s the only place in Fishtown that’s actually edible. We ate around 8–9 PM, maybe a little hangry, but all four of us ate like Liu Lao Lao entering the Grand View Garden — there must be a reason. 🐟 Yellowtail Crudo meyer lemon oil, cucumber, chili, basil oil As a Crudo Connoisseur, this moved me. So fresh, not fishy, sauce was perfect — light, tangy, spicy. Would order 100 plates if I could. 🐙 Crispy Octopus ($24) lemon and white bean purée, spicy arugula pesto Expected a tough, charred leg — got bouncy, tender, juicy instead. Clearly not pre-made. We ordered another plate immediately. 🦑 Grilled Calamari ($24) salsa pizzaiolo Thought it’d be basic fried calamari rings — turned out grilled then fried, crispy yet tender. Also ordered seconds. 🍕 Al Funghi Pizza ($26) mushrooms, scamorza, caramelized onions, bufala mozzarella, roasted garlic, aged balsamic As president of the Anti-Pizza League, I only ordered it for the fun name + love of mushrooms. It was AMAZING. Rich but not heavy, salty but balanced. I ate 1.5 slices and wanted to take another home. 🍝 Pasta Forgot which one, but the sauce was rich yet not greasy, layered yet light. Magical. 🐑 Lamb Loin ($48) roman spices, farro, celery, olives So. Damn. Good. No complaints. 🍰 Tiramisu Not too sweet!! Light!! Delicious!! 🍷 Drinks & Vibe Only had a rosé this time — need to explore their wine list next. They have a big fireplace seating area — perfect for groups. ✅ Final take: Don’t bother looking for other restaurants in Fishtown. Just come here.
