Worth taking to learn Hawaiian favorites, Yummy! 🍴😋
Linda, the chef, was so inviting into her home—total warmth all around! 🥰 She was a wealth of information, and the whole experience was a hands-on class packed with detailed instruction and non-stop laughter. She opened up her home to us, and I absolutely adored hanging out with her animals… especially her cute little pet pig! 🐷 She walked us through the rich history of Hawaiian food (fascinating!), showed us pro cooking techniques, and the whole vibe was like an intimate party—only 8 of us, so lots of cozy conversation and insane food. At the end of the lesson, we sat on her lanau (Hawaiian porch, so dreamy!) and enjoyed the dinner we helped make. 🌴 I’d 100% recommend this cooking class if you want to learn about Hawaiian food, master how to make it at home, and pick up tips from a phenomenal chef! Here’s what we made—so much goodness: Three different types of fresh poke (sushi-grade fish perfection! 🐟) Crispy coconut shrimp (crunchy, sweet, addictive 🍤) Loco Moco—total Hawaiian comfort food: a juicy beef patty, savory brown gravy, fluffy rice, and an over-easy egg on top 🥩🍚🍳 Spam Musubi (a Hawaii staple!)—she used a mold to layer mushrooms, egg, Portuguese sausage, and SPAM… it was like making sushi, so fun! 🥢 Pork and veggie gyoza dumplings—I got TONS of practice folding them, plus she taught us how to pan-fry then steam them for that crispy-soft combo 🥟 For dessert? Coconut butter mochi that was phenomenal! She baked them in muffin tins, so everyone got their own little sweet, chewy cake 🧁 Honestly, these are recipes I never would’ve dared to try on my own—but Linda made it look so easy and effortless. I left with amazing cooking techniques and such happy memories. Best class ever! ✨ #HawaiianCookingClass #FoodieAdventure #CookingWithChefLinda #HawaiianFavorites #CulinaryMemories #HandsOnCooking
