Yakushi-ji Temple is one of the head temples of the Japanese Hosso sect and one of the Seven Great Temples of Nara. It primarily enshrines Yakushi Nyorai, the Buddha of the Eastern, who possesses the power to alleviate the suffering of illness and free oneself from worries. šš šøšŗšæš Toshodai-ji Temple šøšŗšæš Toshodai-ji Temple is a Chinese Buddhist Vinaya monastery and the head temple of the Japanese Nara Vinaya sect. The Tang Dynasty's eminent monk Jianzhen overcame numerous difficulties, including blindness, and successfully traveled east to Japan for the sixth time in 753.
