Yet Another Visit to LA's Most Celeb‑Spotted Omakase Spot 🍣🌟
📍 Matsuhisa Back again at my favorite Japanese restaurant in LA 😋 A true treasure — never gets old, worth revisiting endlessly! This is actually where I spotted David Beckham before 🔥 It’s Nobu’s Beverly Hills location, with valet parking 🅿️ Before the pandemic, I often went for à la carte — this time, finally tried the omakase 😄 (For à la carte recommendations, see my earlier notes 📒) We called ahead and sat at the omakase sushi bar — a separate little room with just 6 seats. They offer several omakase options: Special omakase: $125 / $170 / $220 🍣 Traditional: Sushi‑only $115 / Sushi & Sashimi‑only $195 For Matsuhisa, I actually prefer the non‑sushi‑only omakase — because many of their cooked dishes and preparations are stunning and unique to them. We chose the $220 omakase — mainly because it includes Wagyu beef 🥩 Pic 6 shows the main course — A5 Wagyu that melts in your mouth, layered, and unforgettable 😋 Also loved the first appetizer — vegetable roll with miso sauce — absolutely divine! Every dish, from plating to flavor, was perfectly executed 💯 Hard to pick favorites — I loved them all! Since we both did omakase, they gave us different desserts: Rice pudding with mochi Strawberry pudding 🍓 The rice pudding is a long‑time love of mine (I order it à la carte too!) ❤️ The strawberry pudding’s texture and milky flavor were incredible! We also ordered a light, sweet plum sake 🍶 as a pairing — especially good with the Wagyu at the end 👍 Biggest surprise: We saw Nobu himself in the restaurant! He was flying to Dubai the next day and stopped by to say goodbye to friends. Overall — a super satisfying dining experience. Matsuhisa will always have my heart — never disappoints! Highly recommend trying their omakase — it really feels different from other places ✨ #LAJapaneseFood #LASpots #LADining #Nobu #BeverlyHills #LAOmakase #Wagyu
