You Can’t Use Your Phone While Eating Ethiopian Food 😲
I’ve always wanted to try this Ethiopian restaurant! When we arrived at 2:30 PM, the place was almost full—some tables hadn’t even been cleared yet. With only one guy working, it was pretty busy. We waited about 30 minutes, but he felt so bad he gave us two glasses of honey wine on the house—sweet and super easy to drink! 🍷✨ We ordered the Special Combo, which comes with several dishes and injera (Ethiopian flatbread). The menu said it serves 2–3 people, but honestly, when it arrived, the portion was HUGE—enough for 4 people! 😱 And yeah, we couldn’t finish it. The way they packed it up was impressive too: since there’s a large injera underneath all the food, they just folded the whole thing over and flipped it into the takeout box! 📦 The injera had that slightly sour taste people talk about—but as someone who loves tangy flavors, I thought it was just right. It went perfectly with all the different stews and veggies. 🍛 It was my first time eating with my hands, and I noticed something really interesting: You literally can’t use your phone! 📵 Both hands get covered in sauce and spices, so everyone in the restaurant was actually talking—no one was scrolling. It made the meal feel so present and connected. Food and people became the real focus. ❤️ 📍 GS Cafe and Ethiopian Cuisine 1068 N Citrus Ave, Covina, CA 91722, United States Have you tried Ethiopian food?
