You Gain a Worldview Only by Seeing the World 🌍 Grand Rapids City Walk 🚶♀️ Today was a day of busy eyes, busy legs, and a brain flooded with information! It had both the rush of a quick glance and the comfort of savoring the little things—super fulfilling! 😆 Passed by two amazing private schools; their campus vibe was fantastic! 🏫 Stepped into two Catholic churches and felt that sense of peace and solemnity~⛪ Wandered around Grand Rapids’ downtown; the streets were so full of life! 🏙️ Was super lucky to catch the free admission hour at the Grand Rapids Art Museum—immersing myself in the exhibits was such a joy! 🖼️ Grand Rapids is a quiet little city with a distinct European-style architectural feel~🇪🇺 Many people here have religious beliefs, so you can spot churches everywhere you go—it’s really unique! Today, I also passed by a special place. Janice told me that "The Other Way" is a church-run assistance center ❤️, dedicated to helping residents in the surrounding communities. Whether it’s medical care, legal issues, or daily life needs, people can find support here. Since the nearby community has many immigrants from regions like Central America, Southeast Asia, and Africa, Janice explained that people who are able usually take "the one way"—solving life’s problems through ordinary, secular means. But when life seems to "abandon" you and you’re at the end of your rope, "The Other Way" is like a warm haven, and the church will reach out to catch you~🤝 It suddenly struck me that this feels like two complementary support systems in American society—"God" (religious power) and "Caesar" (secular system) each do their part, yet also support and intertwine with each other, providing an extra layer of security for those in need~💡 #TheWorldIsACity#YouGainAWorldviewOnlyBySeeingTheWorld#RecommendedUSSummerCamps#ArchitecturalAesthetics
