Yume | The Hidden Gem in Los Angeles That 99% of People Haven't Tried

I previously shared a beautiful sushi spot in Fullerton ✨, and I claimed it had the best sashimi I've ever had in LA. My good friend, knowing my love for sushi, took my partner and me to this hidden gem called Yume. They said that 99% of LA residents haven't tried it, and they promised it would be even fresher and more delicious! 🤫 Well, since we were there, I didn't hold back—I definitely ordered a variety of dishes to make sure we ate our fill! 🍣 🍱 Dish Recommendations : - Samurai Sashimi Platter The quality is outstanding 🌟 with a total of 24 pieces. It includes 6 types of sashimi plus 2 large shrimp 🦐, served with four different dipping sauces: sriracha chili paste 🌶️, ponzu, wasabi, and a savory sauce with a refreshing yuzu scent. I have to give major props to the tuna—it's so fresh it feels like you're eating it straight off the boat 🎣. It melts in your mouth with no fishy taste at all. The sea urchin is amazing, comparable to what I've had at the seafood market in Japan 🇯🇵. The牡丹shrimp are huge 🦐 and should be eaten whole—they're incredibly sweet and succulent, with a burst of rich, orange shrimp roe in the head. The other fish are all top-notch, and I definitely think the sashimi platter is worth every penny! 👍🏻 - Jalapeno Cheese Curry Cutlet 🍛 Who came up with the idea of stuffing fried jalapeños 🫑 and cheese 🧀 into a pork cutlet? It's absolutely genius! The crispy pork cutlet pairs perfectly with the curry rice. The portion is huge, with three large servings of rice 🍙, but there's barely enough curry sauce to go around! 😭 - Snowcone Roll + Oh My God Roll The OMG Roll is topped with generous chunks of eel, which taste amazing. However, I personally love the Snowcone Roll more—it has succulent crayfish 🦞. Drizzled with grilled mayo, sweet eel sauce, and tobiko, it's the kind of dish that makes you drool even while writing about it! 🤤 - Udon with Pork Katsu 🍜 My friend ordered this, and he was really impressed with the flavor of the noodles. He polished it off in five minutes, leaving no soup behind! 😂 - Appetizer Salad + Miso Soup 🥗 This is the crispest and most refreshing lettuce I've ever had 🥬, with a savory dressing that's incredibly appetizing. Plus, there are lots of crunchy wonton strips scattered on top. Make sure to drink the miso soup while it's hot! 🔥 Quick summary: Highly recommended!
