This restaurant is absolutely the real deal! The most delicious Greek grilled meats and freshly made foods and tzatziki! I have fancy foodie friends, and we all agree the red wine carafes we polished off were on par with Tuscan Chianti at a fraction of the cost. The sauces, seasonings, and perfectly tender meats (we had two trays of meats including pancetta pork) melt in your mouth. (If you’ve ever been to Korean BBQ, this is even better! Trust me!)

The decor is simple. You’d never know from the outside the culinary delights that await you. The food/wine/service is the shining star here. It’s family run...the mom and dad do the cooking, and the sons do most of the front-of-house service. Don’t forget to start (or finish) the meal with a shot of raki and/or an espresso or Greek coffee.

I just asked them a random question...whether they know any local beekeepers who make legit artisanal honey....and they came out with a jar of it for me! They’re down the street from the beehives!

We stopped at the restaurant for lunch after visiting the Finiq excavations and the nearby monastery ruins. There were three of us and we ordered some starters to share. The food was very delicious! We got the best grilled vegetables of the whole vacation and also the baked cheese and the tomato salad were great! The olive oil was extremely good, so I even ate a spoon of it pure.

In addition we drank excellent homemade wine, which was made by the father of the owner (he told us when we asked him). The service was very friendly and attentive. For dessert we had grapes and apple pieces with cinnamon and honey as a "greeting from the kitchen" (gratis). Too bad that we were only here for a short time, otherwise we would surely have gone...

This is off the beaten path BUT 1000% worth it! For context I’m from Los Angeles. We were headed to the Blue Lagoon but decided to skip it half way there. We ordered the lamb. BEST LAMB I’ve ever had in my life hands down! YOU MUST TRY the baked feta cheese. Don’t miss it. Grilled peppers and fried eggplant were delicious. Socrates works there in the Summers and is a hell of a cool and friendly guy. If you’re remotely close and want to escape the beach for some countryside vibes and delicious...

Odradzam pod każdym względem. Po pierwszej przez dłuższą chwilę ustalaliśmy z kelnerem jak długi będzie czas oczekiwania na zamówione danie ponieważ spaliśmy w pobliskim guest house i wyjaśniliśmy kelnerowi że możemy zapłacić za zamówienie i wrócić za jakiś czas byle nie siedzieć na miejscu i czekać ponieważ jesteśmy po długiej podróży. Kelner zapewnił nas trzykrotnie że jedzenie będzie gotowe za 15 minut, nawet poszedł zapytać szefa ( może szefa kuchni 🤷) I tak minęło 40 minut oczekiwania pośród nowo przybyłych gości pośród smrodu palonych papierosów i hałasu z drogi. W międzyczasie zdążono przynieść piwo - duże pomimo tego że mąż zamówił małe. Po zapłaceniu udaliśmy się na kwaterę i jakież było nasze zdziwienie po otwarciu opakowania. Zamiast mixu grillowanego mięsa dla dwóch osób z sałatką, frytkami i tzatziki dostaliśmy frytki z żałosnymi kośćmi, chrząstkami, 1 plastrem boczku który na milion procent leżał conajmniej od poprzedniego dnia, połową kiełbaski, częścią skrzydełka - sałatki również brak. Czegoś takiego nie poddano nam w żadnym miejscu w Albanii. Pomijając tłumaczenie kucharza że pomylił zamówienia skandaliczny jest sam poziom podanego posiłku. Reklamacja została uznana a pieniądze zwrócone jednak straciliśmy czas i nerwy.

A must visit if you’re in Saranda!

We found this restaurant on our way to the blue eye and boy, what a treat! We had the grilled pork & ribs, tzatziki and baked feta cheese and it was more than enough for 2 people! Socrates, the lovely gentleman, looked after so well and entertained us with his stories of adventures! He said that they are open all year unlike some restaurants who closes after summer season. A must visit if you’re in Saranda!
