Hotel Belle Vue Skikda — Restaurant in Filfila

We spent 3 nights at this hotel in july 2017, with our 3 year old daughter. The view from the room was fantastic. The rooms have huge balconies and quite spacious themselves. Although they are getting a bit old (old furniture and tired bathroom fittings, weak air conditionning...etc), they are clean. Eating at the restaurant is quite expensive for the choice and quantity of food you get, although the waiters are very friendly and the ambiance is cosy. There are no elevators for people with limited mobility. Also you have to take really long winding wooden stairs to get to the beach, which again can prove trying for people with limited mobility or health issues. The beach is relatively clean, but deep for young children. Also, it gets annoying with boats and water motors riding right by the bathers, it is dangerous but they seem oblivious to this fact! The sea gets full of alguea and it gets quite unpleasant to swim when the waves and currents these motors create bring all sorts of stuff to the surface. If I could I’d give it 0 stars. We reserved a room a month before we arrived, some days later they called us and canceled our reservation with a weird excuse that we did not pay any advanced money but when we called to reserve they told us nothing. They canceled our reservation because a man was already paying. It was not the first time we where going. The first time they told us nothing and it was good. We stayed in the hotel but this time it was like they were kicking us out. Really bad hotel. Not recommended. We are really disappointed. There are better hotel than this one. We stayed in Russica park hotel. A bit more money but worth it. Here you just get a beach but there you get a pool, gym,beach,playing place for kids. It had bugs in the rooms though but apart from that it was way better...

The staff at the reception desk is very nice, the waitter even brought a welcome drink (glass of cold juice), but general overview is disapointing. Despite the fact there were 4 of us, with kids 9 + 12 and the important fact we reserved two double room - we were offered one room with small corridors between the wall and big lit to place the matrases for kids. Mold in the corners, old, battered furniture, but not so much bargain for all of this. Well - you can profit from beautifull view on the seaside, helpfull personell in the restaurant and nice, decent breakfest. On the right side you can see actually no more buildings, just hil, which can give you this nice feeling of countryside. On the left side they expanding with another building.
