I would not recommend this place due to the bad experience we had. Unfortunately, I forgot to capture pictures of all the food we ordered. We started with salgadas which is appetizers, pastel massa terra(chicken stuffing) and risos(shrimp stuffing) I believe, and it was okey. Second, we got soup which wasn’t fresh at all, I just tried it and couldn’t even eat. So the staff would not even mind to ask me, “if anything wrong with soup?” so the service is not attentive. Then, we order steak, I don’t remember the name, so the steak comes with two sides, which is fried potatoes and rice. First, the steak was over marinated, it felt too much vinegar on it and it was chewing. Potatoes was way too much oily and rice wasn’t fresh. The prices are not reasonable for the food and service. One of the oldest Portuguese restaurants in town. There is no outdoor seating and inside it looks like the decor hasn’t been changed in the past decade. In front of restaurant you can park but beware of beggars who hang around the place.

We had the classic Bacalhau nunca chega. Huge portion (for 1 person can serve 2-3 people) and flavor was okayish. Also tried the Bife Portuguesa. The meat was tender but drenched in sauce. Service was good.

Overall, a decent option in town, but there are better places around price/quality/atmosphere wise. Perhaps people continue coming here for...

Portions here a hugee, food was really good but for the price I expected better to be honest as its quite pricey compared to other places in the area. The portions do justify the prices though as the half portion can feed 2 people. We decided to have the remaining food for take away as there was so much left and we were also charged 900Kz...
