We visited Julia’s on the Beach on 30th January 2025 as a family with young children (ages 6 and 10), and it was an absolutely incredible experience. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and shown to our table by the friendly and attentive staff.
The atmosphere was exactly what you’d want from a Caribbean beachfront restaurant—laid-back, inviting, and effortlessly stylish. Set on one of the best beaches in Antigua, Julia’s offers breathtaking ocean views, with the sound of waves creating a relaxing and serene dining experience. The decor perfectly complements its surroundings, with a beautiful blend of blues and natural wood tones, giving it a chic yet rustic beach vibe.
The service was fantastic—every staff member was cheerful, accommodating, and happy to recommend dishes and drinks. They went above and beyond to ensure our children had exactly what they wanted, making us feel genuinely cared for throughout our meal.
Now, onto the food—which was absolutely exceptional. I had a whole lobster cooked on the grill, and it was perfectly charred, juicy, and full of flavor—the ultimate island indulgence. My husband and children opted for burgers, which were juicy, well-seasoned, and served with crispy fries. The portions were generous, the presentation was beautiful, and everything was cooked to perfection.
As for the ambiance, we arrived early and enjoyed the serene beachfront setting before the restaurant filled up. As more guests arrived, the energy transformed into a lively yet relaxed atmosphere, with the gentle ocean breeze and stunning sunset views making it all the more special.
One of the standout features of Julia’s is that it’s not just a restaurant—they also offer beachfront lodges, making it possible to extend your experience into an unforgettable stay. Whether you're dining, relaxing on the pristine beach, or staying overnight, Julia’s offers a perfect escape into Caribbean paradise.
Would I return? Without a doubt! Whether you're a visitor or a local, Julia’s on the Beach is a must-visit for its breathtaking location, outstanding food, and top-tier hospitality. If you’re looking for a true Antiguan experience, this is the place to be! Highly...
Read moreAwful. There were so many flies that we couldn’t even eat!!!! we had to leave and go somewhere else. It was disgusting and completely unacceptable. No other restaurants nearby had this issue. The service was terrible and extremely slow. I asked for a salad without onions multiple times because of an allergy, but when I checked the food later (since we had to take it to go due to the flies), it was full of onions!!! The portions were tiny for the price, and the waitresses only seemed to care about serving men. Small portions, high prices, bad service, and a terrible atmosphere. Don’t waste your time or money here. Stay far away! there are much better...
Read moreI ate there a few times when I stayed at the attached hotel and throughly enjoyed it every time! Really nice and helpful staff. Not always open though.
Great mahi, snapper, shrimp, pumpkin soup, but everything I had was tasty and fresh. Incredible view with an awesome pool right on an amazing stretch of beach. Great place to spend the whole day.
Regarding the reviews that say it's slow--that was not my experience at all, and I ate there 5 times. However, it's right on a truly amazing piece of beach with lots of shade, comfy seats, a cool pool, good cocktails, and so I think it's a pretty great spot to wait...
