I want to like this place soooo bad, It is really close to where I live, and I love coffee places. It has a cute atmosphere and really great food. I just CANNOT get past horrible service, every time I've gone in there the wait times and service are atrocious, even when they aren't busy. Even if I call ahead and order just a coffee for pick up, I walk in and wait 20 minutes. I took 2 friends in there for breakfast today and never again... We were one of like 3 tables inside so it wasn't busy. It took 20 minutes or so just to get to order our drinks, then she wouldn't take our food order as well and wanted to come back. She spent another 20-30 minutes tending to other customers and going outside to clear tables, finally took our food order. We waited about an hour for the food which came BEFORE the drinks! The whole experience was over 2 hours and extremely frustrating. By the time the drinks came (3 coffee drinks and 1 alcoholic drink) we were literally done eating and ready to walk out the door. We asked for to go containers, we stood in line so that we could pay separately, and of course got charged for the drinks which seemed kinda ridiculous. She forgot to charge my friend for something that she ordered and just put it on my bill since I paid last. My friend tried to pay for her forgotten item and she looked at me and said "she said she's got it, its okay right?" I can't say this horrible service is only at this place, I guess every restaurant in Antigua is on island time? But its really off putting and I can say even though the food was good I will never eat here again. I recommend knowing that you have a ton of tourist traffic, work on training staff to be prompt, efficient and work on better service! You could also probably sell way more drinks that way also. I know this isn't the US, but there is NO way that kind of service would fly. Waitresses are trained to visit the tables w/in 1-2 minutes, and try to have drinks on the table in less than 5 minutes. When the business is slow, its just even more unacceptable. I hardly ever leave bad reviews but it was just, that bad!! Read moreI made a reservation for a large group to celebrate and meet up for the 2nd of April. At first I was excited because even though the phones were having an issue they called me back as soon as they were able and reconfirmed. I inquired if a down payment was needed due to our size . I was told no. My reservation was for the inside of the establishment due to it being an afternoon meet. Fast forward to the day. When I arrived I entered and realized that inside was filled. I decided to not get upset and let the waiter know I had a reservation. A few minutes wait time wouldn't have killed me. This is where I began to lose my temper. The young man went to check the reservation book and looked up and around. He spoke to another waitress and she looked up and looked around as well. Another waitress came inside and asked if I was getting through. I told her my name and she said oh yes the large group for 2. Lo and behold although I wanted the inside to escape the sun. There was no space inside and the patrons that were seated were waiting for the orders. My group and I decided that it's a small issue let's go outside. The waiter, and I'm sorry I did not get his name was the highlight of the day. He made sure to apologize for the mix-up and his service was great. No supervisor /manager came to apologize however for THEIR MIXUP. The waiter then proceeded to let us know that online menu was different from the in house menu and my group had to change our orders quite a few times due to items being unavailable. Things happen. My group though was beginning to get understandably agitated. The sun has come out in all its glory and the heat and hungry do not make good friends The waiters attitude helped keep us somewhat calm and the drinks we ordered came. We ordered and hoped after the time we had to wait that the food would be worth it. However, the food came cold. The bread was untoasted, the fries a bit limp and though voted in seasoning were bland.

We arrived at around 7:45, and although we made a previous reservation, a table was not ready for us. After waiting, we were seated and ordered drinks and food. While ordering the server informed us that the wait would be around an hour as the restaurant was busy. I told the server that it was fine and I understood. We waited for 1 hour 45 minutes! During this time I ordered an additional Chicken pasta. She lied to my face, told me I did not and told me that I could not get it because the kitchen was now closed. What she should have done was apologise, say that she forgot and tell me that the kitchen was closed. The cherry on top was that a party of four came in after us and got there food and drinks within 20 minutes. It was at this point that I decided it was time to go. So I requested that your food be put into take away containers and we left. They probably looked at us and said "oh, them pickney can wait". The customer service was absolutely atrocious.
