The owners are available all the time, even if you don't see them and they are a polite family. AMBIENCE is great, absolutely no noise, great views, vintage decore, very cozy, very warm ,and great hot water in the bathrooms. BREAKFAST: IT is good but meager. Portions are small and are according to Argentine standards, they call it CONTINENTAL breakfast with baguette bread, one small croissant for each person, butter and home made marmalades. Coffee and tea come with breakfast (with one refill) as well as one orange juice glass. You do have an electrical tea kettle in your bedroom so feel free to bring some snacks and enjoy with a tea of your preference in your bedroom at any time or prepare a thermos with that hot water to carry around. BEDROOMS, they are big and they have everything you need. LOST AND FOUND: Not so good, if you loose a small medical pill, you will not find it the following day, the cleaning ladies do a good job at cleaning, they are neat, but they do not pay attention to such details so make sure if you bring a bottle with just 7 pills that you don't drop any. We arrive in La Cumbre tired, cold and grumpy. Within minutes of being greeted at La Fonda we were led to our bedroom and my heart melted. The room was charming, it was warm and smelt gorgeous. The shower was sensational - hot and powerful. It never felt so good after a long bus ride. Upstairs the main living area was toasty warm thanks to a roaring fireplace. Too cosy to leave, we asked if we could order some delivery for dinner. We sat around the fire drinking red wine, filling our bellies with delicious Asian food (who would have thought) and went to bed happy.
