Lizard Café — Restaurant in Municipio de Puerto Madryn

We read the reviews and were eager to try the pizzas at this place. Sadly we were served with a bad experience. We ordered 2 empanadas and a mozzarella (margherita?) pizza. While ordering he asked us if we wanted everything at the same time which we confirmed. At first they brought us 7 empanadas until they realized it was for another table. After that they brought us 3 empanadas which was obviously a misunderstanding while ordering but that was fine. The pizza sadly never showed. After an hour of wait I asked the waiter about the pizza and he left quickly to the kitchen. After 5 minutes another waiter was sent to us to inform us that the pizza was coming in 5 minutes. It was clear that the order got lost but nobody apologized or said anything about it. The pizza was just okay. We ate quickly and wanted to leave. So we asked for the bill. The same waiter that meesed up in the first place took his time and didn‘t bring us the bill for another 15 minutes. We saw him cleaning tables and taking new orders before getting the bill. At that point it was just disrespectful.

Awful service. Just been for a quick lunch. Waitress totally disinterested didn't write any thing down. After a very long wait brought wrong empanada, waited a very long time for replacement, she claimed it was "in the oven" ! How long does it take to cook an empanada?? Finally asked for bill, she made no attempt to produce one just gave me a number. When I asked for a proper bill an extremely helpful woman came and said there would be no charge at all. I have known Argentina for 50 years, sadly the old traditions of excellent service from skilled professional waiters seems to have gone in most places.. The place looks so cool and has such a good atmosphere but my experience was not good. I ordered the Paris pizza. I don't know what came out but it wasn't pizza. It was a glorified hamburger with crappy ham thrown on top and bathed in oregeno. It was so bad I couldn't eat more than 1 slice. It was packed so I can't imagine all of their food is this bad. I am not willing to throw away more money here, especially since I have been waiting for my server for 35 minutes to come back since dropping...
