The place was closed, even though the sign said "opened".

To be clear, this is not a 40 minute walk from the center as stated in another review. It is ca. 1,5 hours normal walking tempo from the start of the road opposite of the gas station.

The last 100 meters to the Refugio was guarded by two dogs laying in the middle of the dirt path barking at us when trying to get closer to the Berghof. We did not know whether the dogs will attack or not, they sure weren't friendly. Luckily they were old, but it is not a nice welcome and if it weren't for some other hikers who dared to pass the dogs we would have turned around immediately.

Stumbled upon this place accidentally and ended up being one of the most delicious meals and beautiful spots to have lunch in all of the places we visited in Argentina. Welcoming fire and stunning views. Everything we had was seasoned to perfection and every detail with care, and the staff were so lovely. As we were leaving, the chef asked if we had enjoyed the food which just topped off the whole experience…clearly the food is...
