Bouquet de rêves — Restaurant in Neuquén

I'm a Canadian who has been living in Neuquen, and after going to almost every restaurant in town (and certainly all the "formal" ones), I have concluded that this is my favourite. This is my third or fourth time here in 3 months, in fact.

An excellent ambiance, and the wine selection is good. Nice variety on the menu, with a variety of French, Italian, and European dishes.

An excellent steak, though I think El Boliche de Alberto and Nona Francesca edge ahead on the meat, mainly because they serve lomo, a more tender cut than ojo de bife. But BdR was a better overall plate, with multiple creative sides.

There's an interesting pastry side with the steak that I love, even though my Spanish isn't good enough to fully understand what it is. The set menu comes with two small and interesting appetizers. The wines are all good. I even tried one of the less expensive house wines (there are 4) on one visit, and was very satisfied.

Good attention to detail, such as serving steak on a hot steel plate to keep it warm.

In terms of price, I think it's either the most or second most expensive in Neuquen, with Toscana (which is great, but overrated, particularly on their chewy steak). It's about 950-1150 for the set menu now, but who knows what it'll be in 6 months with the collapse of the peso. For future readers of this review, the peso is officially at 59 per USD, but 75 on the blue market.

In any case, highly recommended, for both Argentinians...

Mal momento pasamos al cenar, cuando verificamos el tks de cobro reclamamos q el precio no coincidía con lo que salía en la carta, discusión de por medio trajeron 4 cartas distintas en donde NO se veía bien el precio, sumado a la luz tenue que tiene en la noche el lugar q no permitía ver bien. Ni el mozo ni el dueño lo veían con claridad sino no hubiesen revisado cada carta para ver donde estaba mejor impreso. En vez de reconocer que algo de razón teniamos, el muchacho que se encontraba en la caja se enojo hablándonos de muy mala manera y tratandonos como que teníamos que abonar lo q decían. Obviamente lo pagamos porque no era intención nuestra no hacerlo, pero deberían al menos haber reconocido que las cartas estaban poco legibles. Lamentablemente lugar al que...

Una experiencia sublime de principio a fin Desde el momento en que entré al restaurante, supe que me esperaba algo especial. La decoración es simplemente una obra de arte: cada detalle está pensado con una sensibilidad estética que envuelve y prepara los sentidos para lo que vendrá. La atención del personal fue impecable, con un servicio muy prolijo, amable y atento sin ser invasivo. Todo fluyó con una elegancia discreta que se agradece. Pedí el plato del día y fue, sin exagerar, una verdadera maravilla. Una combinación de sabores perfectamente equilibrados, con una presentación que daba pena desarmar de lo hermosa que era. Cada bocado confirmaba que estaba frente a una cocina que no solo busca alimentar, sino emocionar.
